At Swalecliffe we use children's interests to guide our learning as research shows children learn so much more when they or their friends are interested! Some of our Discovery Star learners this year have a passion for cooking. Through this interest we used the internet to research recipes, we read instructions, discussed food hygeine, measured ingredients, explored textures and materials combining ingredients and noticed changes in state, took turns, used cooking equipment and cooking tools, measured time and of course ate the food too! What a lot to learn in such a yummy way! ​
