I retired 2 years ago after 41 years as a civil servant. As a civil servant I managed various teams of up to 28 staff across multiple sites.
I have been involved with Swalecliffe School since the early 1990’s when I joined the PFA. I have been a Governor since 1996. During my time as a Governor I have been involved in the recruitment of 3 head teachers and many other staff members, 3 Ofsted inspections and many building projects. I am currently the Chair of the Governing Body and a member of the resources committee overseeing the school budget and staffing.
Since my retirement my time is divided between looking after my elderly parents, my grand children and the school.
