Seaside photography Yr 5

Swalecliffe School, along with other local schools belonging to the Coastal Alliance, are working with Turner Contemporary on a project called ‘Seaside photographed’ which aims for pupils to reflect on their experiences of growing up and living by the sea. Some Year 5 pupils were taken to the beach in order to capture their surroundings through photography. Some of the images taken across all schools will then be exhibited in a Coastal Alliance exhibition at Turner Contemporary’s Clore Gallery from the 24th May – 23rd June 2019. More to follow about this in due course.

Beach Creative Mar 2018

Some of our year 6 pupils took part in a photography trip to Whitstable beach with a brief to observe 'lines' within the local environment. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the end results reflect a mature observation of their surroundings.
If you would like to see these first hand you can visit the Beach Creative in Herne Bay between 29th March and 7th April where their work is being exhibited.
